Add a watermark to photos
Your name, a copyright line or your logo on one photo or fifty, in the same place on each. Download them one by one or as a ZIP. The photos never leave this device.
Add your photos, then set the text or logo on the right.
Drag the mark on the preview to move it on this photo alone.
Logo
A PNG with a transparent background shows only the logo; a JPG logo brings its white box with it.
Placement
Download
Each photo is saved at its original pixel size. EXIF and GPS location are removed, along with camera model and date taken: every file is a new image re-drawn through a canvas, so no metadata is copied.
Your settings (not your photos or logo) are remembered on this device.
Privacy: the photos are watermarked in your browser and never uploaded. They are opened and drawn inside this page with the browser's own canvas. Only the watermark settings are saved on this device (in localStorage, cleared with Forget my settings); photos and the logo are gone when you close the tab.
How to watermark photos
- Add the photos. Tap Add photos and select 1 to 50, drop them on the box, or paste a copied picture with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac). Phone photos are turned upright using their orientation tag.
- Set the mark. Type your name or © 2026 Your Studio, pick a font and colour, and/or tap Choose a logo for a transparent PNG. Shadow or Outline keeps white text readable on a bright sky.
- Place it. Tap one of the nine squares for a single mark, or Tiled for a diagonal repeat across the whole picture. Size and margin are a share of each photo's width, so a portrait shot and a panorama get the same look.
- Check each photo. Step through with ‹ and ›. Where the mark covers a face or the product, drag it on the preview or use the arrows: that moves it on that photo only.
- Download. JPG for photos (quality 90 is a good default) or PNG for graphics and screenshots, one photo at a time or all of them in one ZIP.
What it cannot do
- A watermark deters copying; it does not stop it. A mark in a corner can be cropped off in seconds, and AI "remove object" tools erase small marks well. A tiled mark across the whole picture is much harder to remove cleanly, at the cost of covering the photo.
- It does not remove watermarks, ours or anyone else's. It only adds them.
- It does not change the original files. Each download is a new copy; your originals stay as they were.
- Big batches are limited by memory. Photos are processed one at a time, but the ZIP is built in memory: 50 phone photos make a ZIP of roughly 100 to 250 MB. If a phone browser fails on that, download in smaller batches or one by one. Some browsers (iPhone Safari among them) cap a canvas at about 16.7 megapixels; a bigger photo is then saved smaller, and the page says so.
- Text from right-to-left scripts and emoji are drawn by the browser's own fallback font, not the three fonts in the list, which cover Latin alphabets (including accented letters).
- The logo is not remembered. Settings stay on this device, but the logo image and the photos do not; choose the logo again next time.
Which placement to use
| Placement | Good for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One corner, small, 40–70 % opacity | Portfolio and social posts, where the picture should speak | Easy to crop off |
| Centre, large, 20–35 % opacity | Proofs sent to a client before payment | Visible across the subject |
| Tiled at −30° to −45° | Product and rental listings, stock previews | Hardest to remove; busiest to look at |
A worked example: on a 4,000 × 3,000 px photo, text at 30 % is 1,200 px wide and a 3 % margin is 120 px from the edges. The same settings on a 1,080 × 1,350 px Instagram crop give a 324 px wide mark 32 px from the edges, the same proportions.
Questions
How do I add a watermark to a photo online for free?
Open the photo on this page, type your name or copyright line in the Text box and pick a corner on the 3 × 3 grid. Size, opacity and rotation change the preview as you drag them. Tap Download this photo. There is no account, no limit per day and no mark of ours on your picture, and the watermarking runs in your browser rather than on a server.
Can I watermark photos in bulk?
Yes, up to 50 at once. Add them all, set the watermark once, and it is placed on every photo at the same relative size and position, because size and margin are measured as a share of each photo's width. Step through them with the arrows, nudge the mark on any photo where it covers something, then tap Download all as ZIP.
How do I watermark photos on iPhone?
Open this page in Safari, tap Add photos, then Photo Library, and select up to 50. Set the text or logo, then tap Download this photo or Download all as ZIP. Safari saves to the Files app (Downloads): open a single photo there and tap Share → Save Image to put it in Photos; tap a ZIP in Files to unpack it. Very large photos can exceed Safari's canvas limit; the page then saves a smaller copy and says so.
How do I watermark photos on Android?
Open this page in Chrome, tap Add photos and choose them from the gallery or Files (long-press to select several). Set the watermark, then download. Single photos land in Downloads, where Google Photos also shows them; a ZIP can be opened with the Files app's Extract button.
How do I add my logo as a watermark?
Tap Choose a logo and pick a PNG with a transparent background. Its transparent pixels leave the photo untouched, so only the logo shows. Set its width as a share of the photo and its opacity; with text switched on as well, the logo sits to the left of the text as one mark. A JPG logo has no transparency, so its white box will show. To watermark a PDF instead, use Watermark PDF.
