Address Label Maker
Christmas card and return address labels, laid out to fit standard label sheets.

9 labels on 1 sheet
Word cannot cut a circle, so round seals download as a PDF or PNG only.
Your labels
These are example addresses so you can see a finished sheet. Replace them with your own: one line per address line, and an empty line before the next person.
Export from Google Contacts (Export → Google CSV), Outlook (Export contacts → CSV) or a spreadsheet saved as CSV. The file is read in this page and never uploaded.
An example address: type yours. It is printed on every label of the sheet.
The name in the preview is an example and is not printed. Type yours, or leave it empty for greeting-only seals.
Round stickers for the back of the envelope, in the same design as your address labels. Every seal on the sheet is the same; the text shrinks to stay at least 2 mm inside the circle.
For a half-used sheet: labels are counted left to right, then down, and the ones before it stay blank.
Your pasted list, return address and settings are kept only in this browser (localStorage), so they are still here next time. A CSV is never stored. Nothing is uploaded.
Christmas card list
The addresses above as a checklist to print: a row per card with tick boxes for Sent and Received and room for notes, plus a spreadsheet copy for Google Sheets or Excel. Or print an empty list and write it by hand.
Addresses never leave your device. The sheet and the card list are drawn in this page, and the PDFs, the Word file and the spreadsheet are built in your browser. The page counts one anonymous “PDF”, “PNG”, “Word”, “card list” or “test page downloaded” event, and no address goes with it.
How to print address labels at home
- Add the addresses. Paste your Christmas card list with an empty line between people, load the CSV your contacts app exports, or choose Return address to fill a whole sheet with your own.
- Choose the sheet you bought. The size and count are printed on the pack: “30 labels, 1 × 2⅝ in” or “21 per sheet, 63.5 × 38.1 mm”. The list starts with US Letter sheets in the US and Canada and with A4 sheets elsewhere.
- Print the alignment test page on plain paper first. Print at 100% (“Actual size”, never “Fit to page”), lay it on top of a label sheet and hold both up to a window. Each outline should sit on a label.
- Want seals for the envelope backs? Choose Seals, keep the same design, type a greeting and your family name, and pick the round sticker sheet you bought. The test page works for seals too.
- Download the PDF and print it on the label sheet, again at 100%. Most printers want the sheet face up in the rear or manual feed; a test page tells you which way yours feeds if you mark a corner with a pen first.
Questions
Which label sheets does it fit?
Four standard layouts, defined by their published sizes. 30 per sheet, 1 × 2⅝ in on US Letter: 3 across, 10 down, 0.5 in top margin, 3⁄16 in side margin, 2.75 in from one column to the next. This is the layout sold as 5160 (and 5260, 8160, 18160). 80 per sheet, ½ × 1¾ in on Letter: 4 across, 20 down, the small return-address size sold as 5167. On A4, 21 per sheet, 63.5 × 38.1 mm (3 × 7, sold as L7160) and 14 per sheet, 99.1 × 38.1 mm (2 × 7, sold as L7163). The codes are only there to help you match a pack; this page is not made by or connected with any label brand. Store-brand sheets with the same size and count per sheet use the same layout, so the brand on the box does not matter.
Can I get this as a Word template?
Yes. Press Download Word (.docx) and you get your labels as an editable Word table, one table per sheet: every cell is exactly one label, with narrow empty columns for the gaps between labels and page margins taken from the sheet's published layout. On the 30-up Letter sheet (sold as 5160) that is 3 columns of 2⅝ × 1 in with ⅛ in gaps, a 0.5 in top margin and a 3⁄16 in side margin; on the A4 14-up 99.1 × 38.1 mm sheet (L7163) it is 2 columns with a 2.5 mm gap, a 15.15 mm top margin and a 4.65 mm side margin. Each address sits in its own cell, one paragraph per line, in the design's colours and in Georgia, so you can fix a typo, swap a name, add a line or change the font in Word or LibreOffice Writer. A return address fills every cell of as many sheets as you chose; a long list runs on to as many sheets as the PDF has. The rows have a fixed height, so a cell never grows and pushes the rest of the sheet down: text that no longer fits is cut off at the bottom of its own label instead, so make the font smaller or shorten the line. The table has no printed borders; turn on View Gridlines (Table Layout tab) to see the cells on screen. The design comes too: on the Holly corner, Snowflakes, Kids, Candy stripe and Black & white designs (and the Wedding script rules on labels at least 20 mm tall) every addressed label has its drawing as a picture behind the cell, at the same spot as in the PDF, and the address lines are indented clear of it, so retyping a line never covers the holly. Empty labels (skipped with Start at label, or after the last address) stay blank. The drawing is a 200 dpi picture clipped to the label's rounded corners, so to change the design you change it here and download again. Round seals are PDF and PNG only, because Word cannot cut a circle: its table cells are rectangles, and a square grid would not match a round die cut. Print at 100% / Actual size (no “Fit to page”, no “Scale to paper size”) on the same paper size, and try one sheet on plain paper held against your labels first. Google Docs opens the file but treats the fixed row heights as minimums, so a long address can push rows down there; for exact alignment print from Word or LibreOffice.
How do I keep track of Christmas cards sent and received?
Under the labels, the Christmas card list turns the addresses you entered into a printable table: Name, the address on one line, a Sent and a Received tick box and a Notes column, with the title line at the top (“Christmas card list 2026”, change it to anything). Rows are never split between pages, and the column header is printed again at the top of every page. The list uses the paper of your label sheet, A4 or US Letter, with 12 mm margins; 60 three-line addresses take 3 pages, and an address too long for its cell wraps onto a second or third line and only then gets smaller, so it is never cut off. It uses the colour of the label design you picked, or plain black and white to save ink. With no list typed, choose Blank list for 1 to 300 empty rows (40 by default, 2 pages) to fill in by hand.
How do I keep my Christmas card list from year to year?
Press Spreadsheet (.csv). You get a file with the columns Name, Address, Sent, Received and Notes: one row per person, and the address lines in one cell, one per line. Open it in Google Sheets (File → Import → Upload) or Excel, tick off cards as they come in, add new people at the bottom, delete the ones you no longer send to. Next December, save it as CSV again, open this page, choose A CSV file and load it: the page reads the Name and Address columns straight back, so the labels and a fresh list are ready in a minute. Keep the column names as they are; the Sent, Received and Notes columns are ignored when it is loaded. Commas, quote marks and line breaks inside a cell are written the standard way (RFC 4180), so “Apt 4, Building B” stays in one cell. The file is made on your device: nothing is uploaded and the page keeps no copy. Your pasted list is also kept in this browser between visits, but a browser can lose it (private mode, clearing site data), so the CSV is the copy to rely on.
Can I print Christmas address labels and matching seals?
Yes. Press Seals and the page switches from rectangular labels to round envelope seals in the same seven designs, so the holly, snowflake, candy-stripe or wedding-script look on the front of the card matches the seal on the back. Each seal carries a greeting (Merry Christmas by default, anything up to 24 characters) and an optional line with your family name or initials. Four round sticker layouts are built in: 2 in, 12 per sheet (3 × 4 on Letter, the layout sold as 22807), 1½ in, 20 per sheet (4 × 5), 1.67 in, 24 per sheet (4 × 6) and 40 mm, 24 per sheet on A4 (4 × 6). With no round stickers to hand, the plain-paper sheets print 2 in or 50 mm circles with a cut line and four guide ticks for scissors or a circle punch; glue dots or a glue stick turn them into seals. The text is fitted to stay at least 2 mm inside each circle, because a round die cut that is 1 mm off would otherwise clip the letters at the edge. A 24-character greeting on the 1½ in seal splits into two lines at about 12 pt. Round sheets vary more between makers than the 30-up address size does, so print the alignment test page first and compare the circles with your pack. Start at label skips seals already used, counted left to right, then down.
Are these Christmas address labels really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, no paid version. The labels are drawn in your own browser, so printing 300 of them costs nothing but labels and ink.
How do I check the alignment before using label stock?
Press Alignment test page. It prints only the label outlines, each numbered, with a 50 mm bar at the bottom. Check the bar with a ruler first: if it is shorter than 50 mm, the print dialog is scaling the page, so switch it to 100% or “Actual size”. Then lay the printout on a label sheet and hold them against a window. If every outline is off by the same amount in one direction, the printer feeds a little skewed or offset; a shift of 1 mm or less is normal and the text stays clear of the edges, because every address is set at least 1.6 mm in from the sides of its label and 1 mm from the top and bottom.
How do I use a half-used sheet?
Count the labels already peeled off, left to right then down, and set Start at label to the first one still there. On a 30-up sheet with the top two rows gone, that is label 7: the first six positions print nothing, and the addresses fill the rest of that sheet and continue on full sheets.
How do I print return address labels for wedding invitations?
Choose Return address, type the address the replies should go to (often “The Smith Family” or both your names, then the street, then city, state and ZIP), and pick the Wedding script design: the name is set in a flowing script and the address in a classic serif, centred, in a soft warm brown. On the 80-up ½ × 1¾ in sheet one page gives 80 labels, so a guest list of 120 needs Sheets set to 2. Clear or kraft labels look best on coloured envelopes; on clear labels the text is the only thing that shows, so the plain or wedding design reads better than the holly or kids art. Put the same address on the RSVP envelope's front with the 30-up address size.
Letter or A4: which one do I need?
US Letter is 8½ × 11 in (215.9 × 279.4 mm) and is the paper in the US, Canada and Mexico; A4 is 210 × 297 mm and is used almost everywhere else. Label sheets follow the paper of the country they are sold in, so pick the layout printed on your pack. Printing a Letter layout on A4 paper, or the other way round, shifts every row a little more than the one before, so the bottom labels miss.
Can I load addresses from Google Contacts, Outlook or Excel?
Yes, as a CSV. Google Contacts and Outlook exports are recognised automatically: the page finds the name, street, city, state, ZIP and country columns, prefers the home address in Outlook files and shows each choice in a drop-down so you can correct it. From Excel or Numbers, save the sheet as CSV. Commas inside quoted fields (“Apt 4, Building B”) and line breaks inside a single address cell are handled. Contacts with no street, city or postcode are left out, and the page tells you how many it skipped.
What happens to a long address line?
That one line shrinks until it fits inside the label, and the other lines keep their size, so nothing is ever cut off. On a 30-up label a typical three-line address prints at about 10 to 11 pt. On the tiny return labels the lines print at about 8 pt, and a 40-character line drops to about 4 pt, which is hard to read, so the summary under the preview warns when any label has a line below 5 pt. Shorten “Apartment” to “Apt” or split the line in two to make it larger.
